Sometimes by making a few simple swaps in your diet you can really impact your health.

  1. Substituting egg whites for whole eggs. Egg whites are just protein which is great, but having a whole egg also provides us with vitamin B12, selenium, lutein and zeaxanthin, both which help brain function by up to 20%

  1. Swap out roasted nuts for raw un processed nuts, Roasted nuts are fried in unhealthy oils which is made doubly unhealthy by the heating process

  1. Switch canola oil, which is very toxic( and recently shown to impair cognitive function in mice) and replce with extra virgin olive oil. It is an awesome phytochemical which has strong anti inflammatory qualities - great for every organ and function on your body.

  1. Last but not least, swap white onions for red. White onions are great don’t get me wrong, but red are better. They are proven to offer significantly more anthocyanin which are a great antioxidant and also a great anti inflammatory. This helps with the prevention of heart disease, cancer, obesity
